What does Bujairami Scorched smell like?
Cherry and almond are listed side by side at the top of Bujairami Scorched, and there is a reason for that in perfumery: both are built around the same marzipan-like molecule, so a cherry note nearly always carries an almond shadow. Here the shadow is named. Pink pepper gives a dry, rosy lift. Red mandarin, pressed from fully ripe fruit, is the sweetest of the mandarin oils, and bergamot adds the bitter-fresh counterpoint.
The heart turns thick. Peru balsam is a dark tree resin with a smell of vanilla, cinnamon and warm wood. Milk indicates a creamy, lactonic accord. Tonka bean brings almond and hay, picking up the almond from the top. Spanish labdanum is the leathery, ambery resin of the rock rose, here with its origin stated.
Eight entries make up the base. Oud is dark and woody; ambroxan is dry and mineral; patchouli is earthy. Against them stand rum, vanilla absolute (the dark, rich extract of the cured pod), amber and benzoin. The last entry, Siam, is not a material by itself. Read with the note before it, it most likely gives the origin of the benzoin, since Siam benzoin is the usual trade name for the sweet, vanilla-toned grade of that resin.

Who Scorched suits and when to wear it
Bujairami Scorched is tagged for him and for her and bottled as an extrait de parfum in 100 ml. This guide's sorting gives it three families: gourmand for cherry, almond, milk, tonka and vanilla, oriental for the balsams, labdanum, amber and oud, and citrus for red mandarin and bergamot. The brand publishes no families; these are ours. Seventeen entries stand on the list, eight of them in the base, a bottom-heavy pyramid on paper.
