What does Bujairami Maestro smell like?
Three of the four top notes in Bujairami Maestro are drinks or drink-like. Rum is dark, sweet and boozy, with a molasses edge. Amaretto is the almond liqueur, a marzipan sweetness with a bitter-almond bite. Blackcurrant is the tart, green fruit, and bergamot the bitter citrus peel that keeps the opening from turning heavy. The result is a fruit-and-spirit opening more than a fresh one.
The heart is amber, patchouli and sandalwood. Amber in perfumery is an accord, usually built from labdanum, vanilla and benzoin, so it already echoes the base. Patchouli is earthy, dark and a little chocolatey. Sandalwood is smooth, creamy and softly sweet. It is unusual to find amber listed in the heart rather than the base, and it makes the middle warm and resinous instead of floral.
The base has Siam benzoin, vanilla and labdanum. Siam benzoin is a balsamic resin that smells of vanilla with a trace of cinnamon and powder. Labdanum is a sticky, leathery rockrose resin. Together with vanilla they make a thick, sweet, resinous end. This guide files the scent as oriental, gourmand and woody, and the list fits those labels at each tier.
Who Maestro suits and when to wear it
Bujairami Maestro is tagged by the brand for him and for her, and no bottle size appears in the data this guide read. Oriental, gourmand and woody are the families it derives from the notes, as its own sorting. The concentration is eau de parfum. At ten entries it is a mid-length list, and the sweetness is spread across all three tiers.
