The scent opens with bergamot, mandarin, pimento and incense. At the heart are jasmine, lily, ylang-ylang and juniper. The base consists of vanilla, tonka bean, ambergris, guaiac wood and patchouli.
Oriental scents are warm and full, with amber, spices, incense and resins. Of the 1200 Bujairami scents on this site, the shop files 434 under the oriental family. Pimento, or allspice, is a berry with a warm smell between clove, cinnamon and pepper. Lily is a large white flower with a rich, creamy and slightly spicy scent; the water lily is lighter, fresher and more aquatic. Juniper is the berry that flavours gin: crisp, piney and peppery, with a dry, aromatic freshness.
An eau de parfum contains less fragrance oil than an extrait de parfum and more than an eau de toilette. Of the 1200 scents on this site, 1068 are sold as an eau de parfum, After Light among them. According to the shop, the scent is best suited to: spring and autumn. For occasions, the shop lists: everyday wear and evenings. On the shop's scale of light, moderate and strong, the scent is rated moderate.
Within the range, Double Dose is the closest in notes. Shared notes: bergamot, incense, jasmine, vanilla and ylang-ylang. After Light also has ambergris, guaiac wood and juniper; Double Dose has benzoin, cedar and pink pepper.
