Anise opens Bujairami Say Less, and with ginger it makes an unusual pair. Anise is liquorice-sweet, aromatic and cool, a smell most people know from sweets and aniseed drinks. Ginger is warm, zesty and slightly peppery. One is sweet and cooling, the other is sharp and warming, so the opening has two textures at once.
Italian almond and floral notes fill the heart. Almond in a perfume leans on marzipan and cherry-stone, nutty, bitter and sweet together, and the word Italian suggests a particular style of almond sweetness without defining it.
