The first tier of Bujairami Casanova is the classic aromatic start: one herb and two citrus fruits. Lavender is clean, floral and slightly camphorous. Bergamot is the bitter-fresh citrus that flavors Earl Grey tea, and lemon is the sharp, zesty one. Lavender with citrus is how a great many men's perfumes have begun for more than a century, and it says little about what follows.
What follows is sweet and warm. Honey in perfume is thick and waxy, with a faint animal undertone that keeps it from smelling like plain sugar. Cinnamon adds dry, woody heat. Cashmeran is a synthetic material, soft and musky-woody with a slightly spicy facet; perfumers use it to give a heart body and a cashmere-like texture. Jasmine sambac, the jasmine used to scent jasmine tea, is greener and fresher than the grandiflorum type and places one white flower among the spices.
Tobacco leaf anchors the base. The note smells of cured leaf: dry, a little sweet, hay-like, with a hint of dried fruit. Tonka bean, rich in coumarin, has an almond-and-hay sweetness that sits naturally next to tobacco, and vanilla rounds both off. Honey over tobacco, vanilla and tonka is one of the best-known warm structures in perfumery, which explains why this guide puts Casanova under gourmand and oriental, with citrus added for the top.

Beyond that the lists part ways. Glorious fills its heart with pear, melon, peach and pineapple over white musk and amber, a fruit list; Casanova fills its own with honey, cinnamon and jasmine sambac and rests on tobacco leaf.
Bujairami City Life is a five-note list: bergamot and mint, lavender, vetiver and musk. Two of those, lavender and bergamot, open Bujairami Casanova as well, so the first lines of the two pyramids are related. What comes after is not. City Life stays cool and dry with mint and vetiver, where Casanova moves into honey, tobacco leaf, vanilla and tonka bean.
